Day 4 - Another lazy day

Beautiful hibiscus
As usual a couple of hours by the pool. We always go to the Spa pool but today discovered if we go to the other pool they have a pool boy and they have a drinks service. We may go there tomorrow! Late morning and we decided to go to the Botanical Gardens, which purport to be one of the oldest in the world. However, they seem to say everything here is either the best or oldest in the world, so I am not so sure. They are only about 50 yards from the hotel so hardly a trek.

I only took my Sol 45 Lensbaby to give it a really tryout. I thought if I only took that I could not get frustrated and go back to my general lens. I was very pleased with it indeed. The gardens did not look as though they are tended very well, but they do have the most fabulous collection of trees. If I lived here I would definitely have a season ticket and go again and again. I think we will go back before we leave, and it is only about 3 Euros to get in.

As we have booked at the Asian restaurant in the hotel this evening we treated ourselves to a piece of tart with ice cream for lunch. Time for a siesta. Really so Geoff can watch the England France rugby match.

Tomorrow we get a car so will be off to discover further afield.
